K-12 Curriculum
At Melrose Area Public Schools, our K-12 curriculum is built on the Minnesota State Standards, which provide a clear framework for what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. These standards are reviewed and updated by the state every ten years to ensure they reflect current educational research and best practices. While the standards define the learning goals, the instructional materials and resources we use are tools that help us meet these goals while also addressing the unique needs of our students. Our district carefully selects high-quality materials, evidence-based instructional strategies, and targeted interventions to support student success. We are committed to engaging, rigorous, and student-centered learning experiences that prepare all learners for future academic and career opportunities.
