The Dutchmen Explorers’ Club is a place where each child is a cherished and unique member of the team. Each child will be nurtured, kept safe, and encouraged to pursue their own interests, develop friendships, independence and confidence. Our goal is to ensure the success of children in our communities by establishing positive relationships, providing educational and recreational activities, and offering opportunities for children to share ideas and feel valued. The Dutchmen Explorers’ Club offers the very best care, with lots of age-appropriate activities that help your child grow. Activities range from field trips, gym time, group games, art projects, reading, math, choice time, toys, and more!

DUTCHMEN EXPLORERS' CLUB AT-A-GLANCE

* Before School Care Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
* After School Care Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
* Enrichment program for Melrose Area Students, Pre-K (age 4) to Fifth Grade

* The D.E.C. will be Open regular hours if school is two-hours late

DUTCHMEN PRESCHOOL WRAP-AROUND PROGRAM

The Little Dutchmen Preschool Wrap Around Program is an option to be at school for a full day. This program allows children to stay in school for the hours of the school day they are not in preschool. Children attending morning preschool class will transition to wrap around care after preschool hours and children attending the afternoon preschool class will start the day with wrap around.

Wrap Around Care is available Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays and some non-school days. We offer Wrap Around care on all regularly scheduled preschool days in Room E403, Melrose Elementary.

Morning: 8:15 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. Afternoon: 10:45 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.

Wrap Around cannot accommodate drop-in or varied schedules. Students must attend regularly scheduled days to keep the environment as consistent as possible for all involved.

All children attending Dutchmen Preschool Wrap Around will eat lunch at school. They have the option to pack a cold lunch or have a hot lunch at school. Hot lunches will be paid for by the parents, directly through the food service department.

*We encourage all families to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application (which will be available in August with the District Calendar and will also be posted on the school website). If your child qualifies for Free or Reduced Lunch, you will be contacted by the Melrose Area Schools Food Service Department.

A healthy snack will be provided by the Dutchmen Preschool Camp Program in the morning and afternoon for all preschoolers and campers.

Registration Fee Payment: $20 per student with a $40 family maximum. Registration is done online through Eleyo at https://isd740.ce.eleyo.com/
