Melrose Area High School National Honor Society and the American Red Cross are pleased with the success of the blood drive held on April 5, 2024! Willow, a beautiful lab, was on hand to greet donors and help everyone feel more relaxed. Many students, staff members, and community residents made time to donate blood. With these donations, up to 177 lives will be saved!
At the end of the Blood Drive, there were a handful of potential donors who were turned away. The American Red Cross apologizes for this inconvenience. There simply wasn’t enough staff to accommodate all the donors in the allotted amount of time.
Special thanks to Coborns, Magnify Financial, and Freeport State Band for donating snacks, water and napkins. Together, we can make a difference!
