Congratulations to Daniel Mueller, Melrose Area Track & Field Athlete, for breaking the school record for Triple Jump!
The triple jump, sometimes referred to as the hop, skip and jump, is an event in which the competitor runs down the track and performs a hop, a bound and then a jump into the sand pit.
Melrose Area Schools' previous record was 41' 6.5" and was set by Bill Kraker in 1982.
Daniel Mueller's Triple Jump was 42' 1" and was set at the Subsection Track Meet in Maple Lake, on May 23, 2024.
