Summer 2020 Swimming Lessons Update

We are planning to offer swimming lessons this summer with quite a few modifications. We have been working hard to come up with plans to keep your child and our staff safe.  Here is some information for you to review about our program.

All lessons will be private, one teacher to one student. Levels 1 and 2 will require parents to be with children in the pool. Lessons are currently scheduled for the weeks of July 6, July 13, and July 20, with the possibility of offering lessons the weeks of July 27 and August 3, if needed.

Safety precautions - We ask that parents screen your child at home for the following prior to coming to lessons:

  • Take your childā€™s temperature before coming to the facility.
  • Confirm that the child does not have fever, shortness of breath or cough.
  • Our staff will also make a visual inspection of your child for signs of illness which could include flushed cheeks, rapid breathing or difficulty breathing (without recent physical activity), fatigue, or extreme fussiness.
  • No child that is ill can attend swim lessons.
  • Lessons will not be made up.

Parents, children may enter the pool area no more than 5 minutes prior to their lesson, they must arrive in swim attire, and be dropped off at door 13A. We will not be using the locker rooms. Please encourage your children to use the restroom at home prior to coming to lessons. *Restrooms will be available.

Parents will not be allowed to enter the building and observe lessons.

We ask that you pick up your children immediately when lessons are finished.

Our teachers will be social distancing as much as possible,  and wearing a mask when close to children. Please use your judgement about whether this type of program will be a good fit for your child.

Because we have staff hired to teach your children, we will not be able to issue refunds for lessons that are scheduled.

Lessons for levels 3-6 will be offered during the day, lessons for levels 1 and 2 will be offered in the evening, and the parents must accompany the child in the water for levels 1 and 2.

Registration will open on Friday, June 12, our new site is https://isd740.ce.eleyo.com/. Please visit the site and set up your profile at any time.
