The numbers continue to plateau as we head into the first week of February. We will continue to stay within the upper 30ās and lower 40ās according to the latest projections. As more vaccines continue to roll out we are hoping to see these numbers slowly go down.
The number this past week is 37.69. Currently, projections for next week show this number to decrease slightly.
We continue to receive more opportunities for staff to receive vaccinations. The state started with a pilot program a couple of weeks ago with 5 vaccines for our district. Last week we received 15 vaccines and an issue arose with the appointments for staff to receive the vaccines. The state has now come up with a new system to secure appointments for staff.
Along with the state, we have also been receiving opportunities to get vaccinated through CentraCare and Stearns County. We are very fortunate to live in a county that has the resources and generosity to distribute the vaccines to our educational institutions to get our students back in school.
We continue the roll-in process this week to bring our students back to school on a full-time basis:
The building principals have sent out information to their parents on this roll-in schedule. This information will help our district constituents understand the roll-in process to get all of our students back in school.
We will continue with all of our current mitigation practices to keep our buildings safe. The most important practice is to make sure all students and staff wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose.
If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
