Well, we made it to President’s Day with the continuation of bringing more of our students back in school. The Middle School had a successful transition back last week. This was the first time our students at this level had been in school every day this year. There were a few items that needed to be worked out. Overall, it will take some time for our students to adjust to the new “normal”.
As I stated last week we need to “stay on course and stay vigilant.” Everything that we are doing now to slow down the spread of COVID-19 from wearing masks/social distancing to getting as many people as quickly as possible vaccinated will continue to cause the numbers to decline.
The number this past week is 24.17. Current projections for next week will show this number to continue to have a modest decline.
We have begun to notice some of our spectators not wearing their masks either appropriately or not at all events. We would implore you to continue to wear your masks appropriately at all events. With the winter event schedule being tight this year along with state tournaments on the horizon we do not want to take any chances on our game/events being canceled due to an outbreak of COVID-19. We have made it this far by doing what is right to keep our students in school and participating in all of our great activities. Please continue to help and support your children and young adults in our schools and events.
We continue the roll-in process this week to bring our students back to school on a full-time basis:
We will continue with all of our current mitigation practices to keep our buildings safe. The most important practice is to make sure all students and staff wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose.
