The test message was sent out last Thursday (10/20) through our Apptegy parent notification system. You should have received a message via text, email, or push notification. The test message also appears on our website. If you were aware of this message being sent out and did not receive it please contact Cheryl Enneking to make sure your information is correct on our school information system. Although we will still call in our weather closings to the radio/TV stations, you will receive this information much quicker if you have our app downloaded on your phone.
I know it is hard to think about inclement weather after having enjoyed a beautiful weekend. Bad weather can happen at any time once we get past mid-October. Before the beautiful weather this past weekend we did have a dusting of snow along with some very cold temperatures. A couple of years ago, we had 7 inches of snow on the ground in mid-October. It is not only snow that could cancel school but also very frigid temperatures. We do have a weather closing procedure on our website. It is found under “Menu” and then “District Information.” The school board will revise this plan if needed. If you have any questions or comments please email them to me. You will see my email below.
Just a reminder that we have a school board meeting tonight. There is a possibility the School Board will make a decision to move forward with solving facility issues of the district.
