By now many of you that live in the district have received the latest flyer on the bond referendum that will be voted on February 14, 2023. You will notice this is a more simplified version of the last flyer we sent out for the August referendum. One of the discussions we had at our listening sessions was the earlier flyer had too much information. We made copies of the flyers available at the last parent/teacher conferences. If for some reason you did not get a copy of this flyer please contact me and we will make sure you get a copy.
We also have rolled out the first of four videos that were made for the bond referendum. The video is on our website and being pushed out to social media. These short videos are another outcome of our listening sessions. If you have not seen the video yet, it is a great video that shows the āneedā for this bond as compared to wants of the district. The other 3 videos will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
There is a lot of other information on our website that is organized better to help people get the information they need to make an informed decision.
In case you have not heard, the National Weather Service is tracking a major winter storm to hit somewhere in the upper midwest starting on Tuesday (12/13) of this week. We may be sending devices home today for those students that normally do not bring them home. Please remember this is in anticipation of a possible E-Learning Day and not a determination of an E-Learning day.
I will be on KASM radio this week on Wednesday (12/14) at 9:15 a.m. If you cannot catch it live we will have it on our website the next day. There will be a lot of discussion on the bond referendum along with other great things happening in our district.
Please note that absentee voting will start on January 3, 2023.
As with the first referendum, I am available to give a short tour of the facilities upon request. We had our first public tour last Friday and our next one is scheduled for January 24. Even though it is a busy time of the year with the holiday season if you send me an email with dates and a time I can see if my schedule would be open for a tour of the facilities.
If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me or any of the building principals.
