Melrose Area Speech Team took 1st Place at the Fergus Falls Meet on 1/24/26! This was an awesome start to our season, with five 1st Place finishes and many speakers breaking finals! We are excited to see what the rest of the season brings!

Congratulations to our Gymnastics Team!! These talented young ladies competed at the Class A True Team Gymnastics Meet in Big Lake on Saturday, where they took 1st Place, and are Team Champions! Our Team competed with heart, confidence and love for their teammates, and it showed in every routine. Congratulations to our Dutchmen Gymnasts and Coaches!!

This is the first time in program history that all four candidates have been named! A special shout-out to Melissa Ambriz for making program history as an All-State Dance Team Member four years in a row!

🚨 MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENT 🚨
A big weekend moment for Prairie Centre Boys Varsity Hockey as James Rieland reached an impressive career milestone—recording his 100th varsity assist.

To put this into perspective, according to Legacy Hockey, James is just the 100th boys varsity player in the state of Minnesota over the past 25 years to reach 100 assists. That’s rare company and speaks volumes about consistency, vision, and unselfish play.

Assists don’t happen by accident. They come from timing, trust, and teamwork. James has earned many of his assists by controlling the puck, circling the offensive zone, and creating opportunities—while his teammates do the hard work of finding those split-second windows in front of the net. Choosing the right pass over a low-percentage shot is hockey the right way, and it’s why assists are truly a team accomplishment.

Well done, James. This is a milestone worth celebrating—and a great example of how team-first hockey pays off. Keep setting the tone. 🏒👏

Congratulations to the boys on another great meet and congrats to Andrue Stalboerger for setting another new Melrose and Fusion Record in Diving (6 Dives). Andrue's score was 317.60! This win brings the boys' record to 7-0 on the season!

Mr Welle's high school PE class had a nice day last week to hit the skating rink! We are very lucky to have this option in town. Hopefully they can do this more often when it warms up!

Congratulations to the Melrose Rosettes Dance Team for their strong finish at the Albany Invitational this past weekend! Varsity Kick took 3rd Place, Varsity Jazz took 2nd Place, and JV Jazz took 1st Place!!
