Best of luck to Melrose Archer, Camilla McCormick, who will be competing at the National Archery tournament in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday!
Amelia Brower and Andrew Traeger will be competing at NIETOC on May 12 (National Individual Events Tournament of Champions.) They have qualified to compete against thousands of the best speakers in our country and will be representing Melrose in this tournament for the very first time, as it is held in Minnesota this year. Good luck!

Melrose Schools will be offering Free Summer Lunches for students, Mondays through Thursdays beginning June 5, from 10:50-11:50 each day. No lunches will be served the week of July 3-6. The program ends on August 10.
Mark your calendar for this fun event! We are hosting a Bike Rodeo, May 24, 5-7 p.m. at Melrose High School near the football fields. Sponsored and planned by CentraCare Melrose, Melrose Lions, State Farm Insurance, and the Melrose Police Department!

The sophomore class competed with twelve other schools, including large schools in the cities, to win a trip to the Minnesota Zoo, and they blew their competition out of the water with a total outreach of 32,000 people! These students thoroughly enjoyed themselves on this beautiful day at the zoo and are beyond grateful their hard work paid off.
We are so proud of our 2022-23 Speech Team! Of the seventeen students who participated in the State Meet, we had ten finalists. Here are the State Speech Results: Reagan Mueller, 6th Place and Drew Pundsack, 2nd Place in Creative Expression; Autumn Oevermann, 6th Place in Dramatic Interpretation; Emily Sand, 6th Place and Anessa Redepenning, 4th Place in Extemporaneous Reading; Makayla Zirbes, 3rd Place in Great Speeches; Amelia Brower, 4th Place in Informative Speaking; Andrew Traeger, 7th Place in Original Oratory, Vanessa Santana, 4th Place in Poetry Reading; Ellie Heller, 1st Place in Storytelling. Overall, Melrose Area Public Schools took 2nd Place as a Team. Congratulations to our Speech Team and Coaches!
Congratulations to our Dutchmen State Speech participants and to Ellie Heller for her second State Championship in Storytelling! We held a Pep Fest to celebrate the accomplishments of our Dutchmen!
