On behalf of the Food For Thought committee, we wanted to give a big shout out to the Freeport and Melrose Fire Departments! They played in FULL GEAR last night at halftime at the boys basketball game to raise funds for the program and awareness of hunger in our area. The total raised in 7 minutes last night was $1424.18!
Tonight's the night! Join us for the Melrose against Albany basketball game and help us to "Fill the Boot" with cash for our Food For Thought program. This program provides weekend food bags to over 170 students per week! Melrose Fire Department vs. Freeport Fire Department, come watch them on the court during half time!!

Gretta Kasper shot her first 50 at 15 meters on Monday night! Great job and good luck at the Melrose Archery Tournament on Saturday! The tournament is open to the public, and free to attend. It begins at 8 a.m. and will finish up at 5 p.m.

Motivational Speaker, Terrence Talley will be sharing his message with Melrose students on February 1. Terrence's Mission: “I believe what happens to a student today will affect your community tomorrow. That’s why it’s important to not only educate their minds but their hearts as well.” Donations for this event have come from: Birch Hills Church, Harvest Church, Freeport Lions, Melrose Lions, Rahn's Oil and Propane, and Wheels Water Service.
