Today marks the first day of Spring - or Spring Equinox. If you have ever heard anyone say ā€œvernal equinox,ā€ it means the same thing. The term equinox comes from the Latin word ā€œequinoxium,ā€ meaning ā€œequality between day and night.ā€ And vernal also comes from Latin and means ā€œspring.ā€ Folks in the Northern Hemisphere are looking forward to longer days, perfumy flowers and a burst of greenery. Happy Spring!
