Today marks the first day of Spring - or Spring Equinox. If you have ever heard anyone say “vernal equinox,” it means the same thing. The term equinox comes from the Latin word “equinoxium,” meaning “equality between day and night.” And vernal also comes from Latin and means “spring.” Folks in the Northern Hemisphere are looking forward to longer days, perfumy flowers and a burst of greenery. Melrose Area Schools' High School Band achieved a superior rating for their performance on March 14, 2024. Our band played three pieces: Terracotta Warriors, Willows of Winter, and Angry Beavers. Afterwards, our Band was able to have a clinic experience with University of MN - Morris' Band Director, Simon Tillier. Congratulations to our HS Band! #DutchmenPride

There will be a Practice/Meeting for JH Baseball, JH Softball, and JH Track on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 3pm. The coaches will go through rules, schedules, and other information. Depending on weather and field conditions, there may be practice on March 26th and 27th. If needed, these sports will begin practicing full time on April 2nd.

Look at the delicious creations made by our high school classes! Culinary 1 Classes made biscuits and sausage gravy, while Advanced Culinary Class made marinara sauce for chicken parmesan. Learning is good!

Breaking News: Melrose Area Schools' Knowledge Bowl Team 1 claimed first place at the Section Meet today - and are Section Champions! Team 2 took third place! The top two teams in the Section advance to the State Meet. Way to go! #DutchmenPride
