With 1,250+ local pool participants per year, there is not enough pool space, spectator seating and pool deck space. The current pool is too shallow for competitive diving.
Referendum approval would build a standard 8-lane pool. The plan includes separate community entrances and changing rooms. The existing pool space will become a multi-use fitness space for a variety of activities including dance, wrestling, archery, pickleball, yoga and adult enrichment.
Vote now, via absentee ballot in-person at the School District Office, weekdays 7am-3:30pm
Vote on Election Day, Tuesday, February 14th, at the Melrose City Center, 7am-8pm

For the strength of our communities, it's important to stay competitive with the opportunities we provide our students, staff and families compared to neighboring districts. The students of Melrose Area Public Schools are the people who will carry our communities forward.
Approval of the referendum would still keep Melrose Area Public Schools on the low end of this estimated school tax impact comparison chart.
