Melrose Area Elementary School is proud to recognize the 5th Grade for their L.E.A.D. Graduation, which was held March 22, 2024. L.E.A.D. stands for Law Enforcement Against Drugs, and is a national program, dedicated to creating safer, healthier communities, free of drugs, bullying and violence. Led by School Resource Officer, Paul Breth, 5th Grade Classes earned their certificates of completion. Additionally, students were able to showcase their talents, singing and playing their recorders under leadership of Tara Prout. Special thanks to 5th grade teachers Kyle Shaughnessy, Carolyn Moscho and Amanda Mackadanz. #DutchmenPride

Congratulations to the Melrose Speech Team, who took First Place at their home meet on March 23, 2024! These winners hosted over 40 teams, and had more than 600 entries. Our four Champions include: Andrew Traeger, Amelia Brower, Autumn Oevermann, Drew Pundsack! Special shout-out to our triple finalists: Andrew, Drew, and Ella, and our double finalists: Autumn, Lydia, and Zoe. This team has worked very hard and we are so excited with these results! #DutchmenPride
