Monika Frericks (Dairy Judging) and Naomi Wiechman (Poultry Judging) will each be recognized as Top 3 Individuals in their contest! Students in Mr. Nietfeld's Planning Your Future Class had an opportunity to tour Wells Concrete in Albany recently. Did you know the Albany location of Wells Concrete includes a 185,000 sq ft manufacturing and office facility with 80+ acres of land? The tour was informational, and students were each given a complimentary hat after the tour. Thanks, Wells Concrete! #DutchmenPride

State Champions include: Drew Pundsack, Amelia Brower, Makayla Zirbes; Anessa Redepenning & Andrew Traeger finished 3rd; Ella Erdmann finished 5th; Logan Schad finished 6th, Teague Dusha & Brooke Ruoff finished 8th. We are so excited about our Speech Team! These winners are competing at the State Meet today, and we hope they are all 'locked in!' The first round was at 10:15, Round 2 is at 11:45, Round 3 is at 1:15, the Championship Round is at 3:30pm, and the awards ceremony is at 5:30pm. We are rooting for the Mighty, Mighty Dutchmen! Congratulations to our Band Students! They performed at the Solo - Ensemble Contest recently, and represented Melrose very well! Earning individual Excellent Ratings were: Jonathan Ambriz, Mathew Stalboerger, Erick Portuguez. Earning Superior Ratings were: Camilla McCormick, Anna Nue, Malachi Piche, Lydia Prout, Hayden Gronau, Hailey Hammond, Ramona Lurken-Tvrdik, Nina Prout, Max Sakry, Stacy Timp. Special Congratulations to Lydia Prout for her 'Best on Site Award,' for her Trumpet Solo! As a group, our Jazz Band earned a Superior Rating. Way to go, Dutchmen! #DutchmenPride


Melrose Area Public Schools will have Prom on May 4, 2024. Grand March will be at 7pm. Juniors and Seniors interested in attending Prom should sign up in the HS Media Center as soon as possible. Come with your friends and have a great time!


Melrose Area Middle and High Schools celebrated the Speech Team today at our Pep Fest! Our Speech Team will be competing in the Class A State Speech Meet tomorrow, April 19, 2024. There are four rounds, beginning at 10:15am, and the Awards Ceremony will be Livestreamed on Facebook by the Melrose Speech Team at approximately 5:30pm.
